Hulk Hogan and His Wife Get Baptized

(NewsSpace.com) – Hulk Hogan is one of the most popular wrestlers of the 1980s and is heralded as one of the greatest of all time. In the past several years, though, he’s been in the news for other reasons unrelated to his profession, some good, some bad. Recently, though, the former wrestler decided to undertake a significant task—he got baptized.

Back in April, Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, reaffirmed his faith in a post on X, formerly Twitter. On December 20, he decided to get baptized and posted the video of him and his wife, Sky Daily Hogan, on what he calls the “greatest day of [his] life” at Indian Rocks Baptist Church. In getting baptized, he says he engaged in “total surrender and dedication to Jesus.”

During the ceremony, Hogan and his wife wore all white, as is custom for such traditions. The former wrestler wore a white bandana, his signature style, as well. The video shows them both being dipped into the water and emerging with smiles on their faces.

Hogan says he was saved at the age of 14 when he heard a passage that resonated with him. Though he may have “derailed for a long time,” according to an interview earlier this year with Theo Von, he never turned his back on God or the church. In fact, he says his first two marriages didn’t work out because of their differing beliefs.

The wrestler has been on a journey of self-improvement over the past few years. He says he gave up alcohol because it was making him too aggressive and had started making lifestyle changes because of the significant number of surgeries he underwent as a result of injuries suffered while wrestling professionally. He married Daily earlier this year, after dating for a year and having a two-month engagement.
