(NewsSpace.com) – Ever since President Joe Biden took office, there’s been a massive influx of immigrants across the southern border. However, the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), through requests under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), discovered that the Biden Administration was also reportedly flying migrants throughout the country. The CIS claims there were secret flights taking place at night, and now they’ve uncovered more details as part of a lawsuit.
Last September, the CIS reported that through FOIA requests, it discovered that the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has a parole program called “One” that allows “inadmissible aliens to make an appointment to fly directly to airports … bypassing the border altogether,” via an agency app. Over the course of a year, it was revealed that more than 200,000 migrants from four different countries had taken advantage of this program. It’s only open to certain countries, including Haiti, Cuba, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, Venezuela, Honduras, Ecuador, and Colombia.
However, in an updated report published on March 4, the CIS alleges that the number had grown to 320,000 inadmissible migrants and that they were flown into 43 US airports. It also notes that the agency wouldn’t confirm which airports it is using. The CIS says this is because it is creating “operational vulnerabilities” at the locations.
Elon Musk had something to say about the practice. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, he accuses the administration of setting the country up “for something far worse than 9/11” and “importing voters.” Of course, only US citizens are allowed to vote, making the statement untrue.
An 18-state coalition has filed a lawsuit looking to block CBP One, the app used to schedule interior flights, a practice that CIS calls “legally dubious.” The states want the so-called “Asylum Ban” nullified because it did not go through the required procedures prior to implementation, and there are exceptions within the program that violate the US’ immigration statutes. The case is still pending.
