Talk Show Host Says “I Also Suffer From Trump Derangement Syndrome”

(NewsSpace.com) – Charlamagne tha God is an outspoken media mogul and American radio host who isn’t afraid to give his opinion on matters. He recently appeared on “Gutfeld!” and spoke about actor Robert De Niro’s speech outside the Manhattan courthouse, where former President Donald Trump is on trial for allegedly falsifying business records. “The Breakfast Club” host said he agreed with the actor and even confessed to having “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Trump Derangement Syndrome is a pejorative term for when someone has negative reactions or criticism of the former president in regards to his behavior, rather than his policies and accomplishments. When Charlamagne tha God appeared on the talk show, he told host Greg Gutfeld that he “totally agree[s] with Robert De Niro” and believes the former president “is a threat to democracy.” He went on to say that he thinks Trump “led an attempted coup of his country.”

Charlamagne pointed to a 2022 post that Trump made on TRUTH Social, suggesting that by claiming fraud, it allowed for “the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.” The radio host said if Trump were to win office again, he’s not sure he’d leave at the end of his term.

The radio host was referring to De Niro’s appearance in Manhattan, where he gave a speech and verbally clashed with Trump supporters, cursing them out as they hurled insults at him. De Niro, who is now 80 years old, tried to spread the message that if Trump wins in November, “he can destroy the world” and all freedoms that Americans currently enjoy will go away.

Trump’s campaign was quick to condemn De Niro’s appearance and his statements, calling him a “washed-up actor” and slamming the Biden Campaign for his appearance at a critical point in the hush-money trial.
